Q. How much does it cost to build a specific plan?
A. This is an extremely tough question to answer because construction cost varies so much from one geographic area to another. The best answer we can give to this question is that construction cost can range from around $85.00 to $250.00+ per square foot. The square foot price for construction depends on many things, where you are located, type of materials used in the construction, etc. We recommend that you take your plans to a home builder in your area and ask them to help you answer this question. For more information on home builders and this question review our Custom Home Guide.

Q. Do your plans come with an Air Conditioning Plan?
A. No. Air Conditioning Plans or HVAC plans vary from one geographic area to another. These plans are determined based on many factors such as the type of equipment being specified, the direction a home faces, how you insulate the home, windows, doors and its geographic location. Your builder will take care of this in most cases by having his HVAC contractor or a local MEP Engineer, engineer your home's HVAC system depending on all of these factors and provide the plans for your project.

 |
Q. Can I get a Materials List with your plans?
A. No. We do not provide materials list as once again there are to many factors that will be involved to come up with a complete materials list for every geographic location. The best thing you should do for a proper materials list for your location is to take the plans to your builder or a local estimator or lumber company and ask them to provide you a materials list for the plan in the area you plan to build in.

Q. Can I see one of your plans built somewhere?
A. No. Do to legal issues and the fact that most home owners don’t want strangers knowing where they live we cannot provide you with actual physical address examples. Although some of our plans do have images of the finished house on the plan page.

 |
Q. I am a Home Builder and I want to use the plans more than once.
A. On each plan page a “Re-use License” is shown with its price for that particular plan.
|
 |
Q. How can I get revisions made to one of your plans?
A. We can and do any type of plan changes or modifications. Refer to “Plan Modifications” for more information. Now some builders will do minor revisions by what is called a "red line change order". This simply means you and your builder mark with a red pen your minor plan changes and each of you initial the change order on the plans.

 |
Q. What type of foundation plan do you provide?
A. Our plans come with our standard monolithic slab on grade type foundation plan. Please review “About our Plans” for more information on our foundations.
